Scotland went 24-for-1 at the end of the power play and then 41-for-2 at halftime. Shadab Khan hit two in the 11th to reduce Scotland to 43 for 4. There was no real success in the chase and although Richie Berrington made XXX, Scotland never threatened to take the match to Pakistan.

Wicket, run, wicket, run, 1 and 1: This was Shadab’s third over. Things are not going well for Scotland and there are many smiles on the faces of the Pakistani players.
It’s a tough chase and Scotland’s innings will go nowhere. They went 24-for-1 at the end of the power play and reached 41-for-2 at the half. It has been far too easy for the Pakistani bowlers so far.
Pakistan were 60 for 2 at the halfway point and scored 129 runs in the last ten overs. They were excellent in the second half and Scotland collapsed under pressure. Babar scored a half-century while Hafeez and Malik chased the bowling to help Pakistan score a challenging total after opting to bat. Malik reached his half-century with the last ball of the innings, finishing with 54 for 18. Greaves’ last over was taken for 26 as Malik hit three sixes and a four.
The stage is set for Pakistan. Their captain reached his half-century and Hafeez looked very much on point. However, Sharif managed to continue and Pakistan also lost a review. Scotland had the situation under control until the 10th round but are now under pressure and fatigue. With just under five overs to go, Pakistan can aim to add another 60 runs.

Apart from the fourth over, where Wheal leaked 14, Scotland managed to keep things under control. Pakistan had only 35 players on the board after the powerplay and the pressure resulted in a wicket. Hamza Tahir, who conceded just one in the opener, caught Rizwan again.
Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan open, Hamza has the ball and we are all ready…

Hello and welcome to the live blog of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 match between Pakistan and Scotland in Sharjah. Before we start, here’s Aayush Puthran’s preview of the game:
The 2021 T20 World Cup may have reached a stage where the outcome of each match seems to have an impact not only on the teams playing the match, but also on the rest of the group. Those with the calculators are working overtime and amid all the chaotic calculations, a rather innocuous match emerges between Group 2 toppers Pakistan and an inspired Scotland that punches above their weight.
Regardless of who wins the match, Pakistan will have a ticket to the semi-finals, while Namibia will have no chance of qualifying. But whatever his value, there will be a number of boxes to be ticked for both teams.
For Pakistan, it will be in the form of Fakhar Zaman. The left-hander had entered the competition thanks to some nice shots in the warm-up. However, he is yet to give the in-form openers the lead at number 3. The experienced duo of Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik may have had an impact in the limited deliveries they have faced so far but would like more time spend in the middle.

While none of the Pakistani bowlers have disappointed, only Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf have managed to turn the tournament around so far. Hasan Ali bowled a miserly spell in the previous game but is yet to impose his authority, as are spin duo Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim. However, their good form meant that Pakistan did not have to rely much on their sixth bowling option, which can be split between Hafeez, Malik and Asif Ali.
Scotland don’t need to make too many corrections, but a Super 12 win to end the campaign wouldn’t be such a bad thing for a group of players keen to be noticed by the member states, a wider observer of public cricket and T20s. worldwide.

Pakistan still needed 66 runs after the lunch break. However, just like in the morning session, the home side lost a wicket with the first ball of the session when Abid Ali tried to hit Anrich Nortje and could only hit one on the stumps. Imran Butt also didn’t last long as he attempted an ambitious ride and fell behind.

With the score at 23 for 2, Babar Azam and Azhar Ali joined forces and took the team home. The experienced hands played some smooth drives and shots and also chose singles and twos to chip away at the target. With the hosts needing two more for a win, Keshav Maharaj won an LBW appeal against Babar, with the Pakistan skipper reviewing him unsuccessfully. Finally, Pakistan’s man of the moment, Fawad, concluded the match with a boundary off Maharaj.
Experienced hands Babar Azam and Azhar Ali calmed some nerves in the Pakistani camp with a fluid attitude. Babar played some glorious shots – drives and flicks. Azhar also looked in good condition. The hosts need less than 15.
Oh! Today we had a few sacks on the first pitch. Maharaj fell on the first ball of the day. Now Abid is out: first ball after the lunch break. He cuts one off Nortje’s stumps. The delivery was perhaps a bit low, with Abid trying to hit.
Imran Butt then attempted a drive in the same over and was moved on. Pakistan seems to be in a hurry.

Nauman was given a five for on his Test debut, at the age of 34. His story is one of never losing hope. Bavuma was the last man dismissed as South Africa were bowled out for 245, a lead of just 87.
Excellent effort from Yasir and Nauman to share nine loots. Pakistan ended the session at 22 without defeat, but had only 66 to go.
The partnership, worth 42 runs, comes to an end when Nauman returns Linde for 11. The batsman is lured into a drive and eventually gets an inside edge to slide down, where Imran Butt latches on to a sharp, low catch. Linde starts at 11, leaving South Africa at 234 to 7. The lead is now 76.
Bavuma and Linde shared a crucial position to help South Africa extend their lead. Bavuma in particular looked good against the second new ball. The lead is now 76 and growing…

More problems for South Africa! And that is a soft dismissal. De Kock, the skipper, brought one to FSL at Yasir. The leg-spinner now has four wickets, while South Africa’s lead is just 34.
First ball of the day, wicket! It didn’t take long for Pakistan to strike as Hasan Ali hit one to stay low and Maharaj could only hear the deadly rattle. The night watchman is no longer there.
187 for 4. Ahead by 29 runs. After a score of 127 between Rassie van der Dussen and Markram, South Africa suffered a mini slump by losing three wickets in quick succession in the Karachi Test. Can Quinton de Kock help South Africa gain a comfortable lead? Or will Yasir continue to tear the rest of the batting order apart?

And Mahmudullah sealed Bangladesh’s first T20I series against New Zealand! He also did it in some style by hitting Tickner over Midwicket and then hitting McConchie to that region again. The Bangladesh skipper used his wisdom and experience to take the hosts over the line.

Mahmudullah took McConchie to the stands. Mahmudullah, however, survived a near cry of shock. The benefit of the doubt went in the batsman’s favour.
The Bangladesh captain offered another stupid chance in the 17th over but Latham failed to capitalize on it. That could be a big miss. Meanwhile, after playing a crucial hand, Naim did
